Mymensingh division virus cases cross 1500

The number of novel coronavirus infection cases has been gradually increasing in Mymensingh division as 26 more people were tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, reports news agency BSS.

According to divisional health office, 26 more patients were detected with the novel virus infection after testing 550 samples in the last 24 hours in the division.

Divisional health director office sources said of the confirmed cases, 16 are from Mymensingh, three from Netrokona and seven from Sherpur districts.

The sources said a total of 1,508 people were infected with coronavirus in the division.

District-wise total detected cases are 730 in Mymensingh, 298 in Netrokona, 353 in Jamalpur and 127 in Sherpur districts.

The number of new cases in the division decreased in the last 24 hours than the number of Monday.

A total of 19,946 samples were tested in four districts of the division till today.

Of the total patients, 558 have, so far, recovered from the highly infectious lung disease with 17 fatalities while 885 are undergoing treatment in different hospitals.
