Satkhira journalist dies with breathing complications

Mohsin Hossain Bablu, a journalist in Satkhira, died with breathing complications at a hospital in the district town early Sunday, reports UNB.

Mohsin was the editor and publisher of Satkhira daily newspaper Ajker Potrika. He and his wife Morzina Khatun, senior staff nurse of sadar hospital, had been suffering from fever and breathing problem for about a week and were undergoing treatment staying at home, civil surgeon Hussain Safat told the agency.

Mohsin, who had cardiac problems, suffered severe shortness of breathing around 1:00am.

Later, he was taken to the hospital where physicians declared him dead.

Samples have been taken from Mohsin and his family members for coronavirus test, said the civil surgeon.

So far 34 people died from COVID-19 symptoms in the district and 12 people died from coronavirus.
