Three die in Manikganj isolation ward
Three people, who were undergoing treatment at the isolation ward of Manikganj General Hospital, died from Wednesday evening to early Thursday.
The deceased were Abdul Mazed, 55, resident of Kellai village in Ghior upazila, Swapan Kumar Mandal, 50, resident of Sadar upazila and Jarina Begum, 50, resident of Manikganj municipal area.
The deceased were suffering from cough and breathing problems, said Arshad Ullah, superintendent of the hospital.
Samples have been collected from their bodies and sent for COVID-19 testing, the physician added.
People who came in contact with them have been asked to go on home quarantine for 14 days, he also said.
