Two children drown in Kurigram
Two children drowned while collecting flowers from a water body in Purarchar village of Rowmari upazila in Kurigram on Friday, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Amena Khatun, 8, daughter of Salim Uddin and Jiniya Aktar, 7, daughter of Hafizur Rahman.
Residential physician of upazila health complex Nazmul Huda said the children drowned when they were collecting flowers from a local water body.
The duo died while being brought to the hospital, he said.
