Two JMB members detained in Borguna, says RAB-8

A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained two active members of outlawed militant outfit JMB from Kodomtola area of Borguna Sadar upazila on Monday, reports UNB.

In a press release, RAB-8, Barishal informed that acting on intelligence the elite force conducted a raid at Kodomtola of Aila Patakata union under Borguna Sadar upazila and Horidrabaria area of Kewrabunia union.

At this time, two active members of 'dawati' branch of JMB were detained, the press release said.

The 'dawati' branch is active in recruitment of new members to the extremist cause.

The detainees are Abdur Rahman, 44, of village Kodomtola and Alamgir, 43, of village Horidrabaria.

During the raid, huge number of books and leaflets on extremism were seized from their possession.

During preliminary questioning, the detainees confessed their involvement in the 'dawati' programme of JMB, the RAB-8 press release said.
