Three Bangladeshi prisoners have fled from the Alipore Central Correctional Home in South Kolkata of West Bengal, India.

The prisoners are Faruk, Emon Chowdhury and Ferdous.

The jail authorities said they came to know the matter of the escape during a customary head counting of prisoners on Sunday morning.

An investigation found that the prisoners escaped the prison in the small hours of Sunday.

Kolkata police said the prisoners climbed the 15-feet prison walls by water pipes inside the jail after cutting down their lockup.

Meanwhile, the authorities have suspended three officials over the matter.
