Sylhet man killed over land dispute

A man was killed in a clash over a land in Tilakpur village of Biswanath upazila on Wednesday morning, reports UNB.

The deceased is Abdur Rob Mia, 38, son of late Rashid Mia of Tilakpur village, said Shamsuddoha.

Rob Mia had enmity with his cousin Ashik Mia over a piece of land. Recently the victim received a court verdict in favour of him.

On Monday morning, when he tried to take the possession of the land, his cousin along with his associates attacked him, leaving Rob injured, said police quoting locals.

Critically injured Rob Mia was taken to Osmani Medical College Hospital on Tuesday morning where he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday morning.
