People from all walks of life on Sunday paid their respect to those who lost their lives in the Holey Artisan Cafe terror attack on 1 July, 2016, says UNB. 

Representatives from various political parties, foreign and diplomatic missions, police and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) paid their respect to the attack victims in the morning.

Japan ambassador in Dhaka Hiroyasu Izumi, Italian ambassador in Dhaka Mario Palma, representative from Australia embassy, Dhaka Metropolitan Police commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia, RAB director general Benazir Ahmed paid their homage to the victims of the terror attack.

Besides, a delegation of Awami League led by its general secretary Obaidul Quader paid their homage to the victims around 10:25am.

Meanwhile, a delegation of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) led by its vice-chairman Ruhul Alam Chowdhury paid their respects to the victims around 1:30pm.

Twenty-two people-nine Italians, seven Japanese, one Indian, one Bangladesh-born American and two Bangladeshis-were killed in the terror attack on the upscale restaurant on 1 July, 2016.

A case was filed with Gulshan police station in connection with the terror attack. Later, the case was shifted to the Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
