Russian Deputy PM due Friday

Russian deputy prime minister Yury Borisov will arrive in Dhaka on Friday night to visit Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant in Pabna, reports UNB.

Foreign minister AH Mahmood Ali will receive the Russian deputy prime minister at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina and the Russian deputy prime minister are scheduled to visit the site of the maiden nuclear plant of the country on Saturday before Borisov's less than 24 hours' stay in Dhaka, a foreign ministry source said.

On Tuesday, foreign secretary M Shahidul Haque said Dhaka was extremely hopeful that the relationship between the two countries would only "go up and up".
