Dhaka-Barishal road link snaps for bridge collapse

Road communication between Dhaka and Barishal remained suspended since early Tuesday following the collapse of a bailey bridge in Enna area of Gaurnadi upazila, reports UNB.

The bailey bridge collapsed when an overloaded truck was passing through it and halted the communication of several southern districts with the capital, causing immense sufferings to people, said locals.

However, the repair work has begun immediately after the incident and was underway during filing of this report.
