2 killed in UPDF-PCJSS gunfight in Rangamati

Two members of the United People’s Democratic Front (UPDF) were shot dead in a gunfight with the members of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samity (PCJSS) in Sonaichhari area of Naniarchar upazila in Rangamati on Thursday.

The deceased are Satyabrata Chakma, 27, and Biju Chakma, 32.

Additional superintendent of police (ASP) Habibur Rahman said that a gunfight took place between the two rival groups in the area at about 11:00am, leaving Satyabrata and Biju dead on the spot.

On information, a team of police and army went to the spot.
