The Tank-lorry Owners' Association went on a 24-hour strike in Khulna on Sunday in protest against the nine-point demand of students, reports UNB.

Sheikh Forhad Hossain, secretary of the association, said no fuel will be supplied from Padma, Meghna and Jamuna oil companies in Khalispur during the period.

The strike began at 8:00am and will continue till 8:00am on Monday.

They called the strike as the government has decided to fulfill the nine-point demand of the protesting students, said the association leader.

The students' demands are contradictory, he added.
