Infiltrators behind student protest identified: IGP

Inspector general of police (IGP) Mohammad Javed Patwary on Friday said the police have already identified the people responsible for creating anarchy capitalising recent student protest demanding safe road, reports BSS.

“We have definitely identified many infiltrators and taken action against some of them and the rest of others would be brought to book,” he said after inaugurating three establishments of police in Chandpur.

“Several of the anarchists have already been captured and taken some of them on remand and the procedure would be continued until identifying all of the people responsible for the anarchy,” he continued.

Among others, deputy inspector general (DIG) of police Khandoker Golam Faruk, Chandpur district council chairman Osman Gani Patwary, deputy commissioner Md Majedur Rahman, superintendent of police Shamsunnahar, and Chandpur press club president Iqbal Hossain Patwary, were present on the occasion.
