The vice chancellor of Chittagong University Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury  said he wished he could slap the former chief justice Surendra Kumar Sinha if he would get chance.

The VC said this during a discussion on Tuesday marking Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s 43 death anniversary at social science faculty auditorium of the university.

“The former chief justice is conspiring against Bangladesh. He privately met with executed war criminal Mir Quasem’s younger brother Mamun in New York. SK Sinha was paid a huge amount of money to make statements and conspire against the country. Several newspapers have reported this too,” Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury said.

The VC said, “I will slap SK Sinha if I ever get to meet him. I will definitely do so. No one can stop me.”

VC also said, “There are some people who never uttered a word in support of Bangabandhu in their life but now act like his supporters. It seems to be a big conspiracy.”

The meeting was presided by Bangabandhu Parishad president Md Rashed-un-Nabi while the pro-VC of the university Shirin Akter made a speech as special guest.
