3.5kg gold seized at Chattogram airport

Customs officials on Wednesday seized 32 gold bars weighing around 3.5 kilograms from a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram.

A team of customs officials recovered the gold bars from an abandoned bag found in the flight came from Dubai around 11:00am, airport manager Sarwar-e-Jahan said.

The flight was flying to Dhaka via Chattogram, he added.

However, none was arrested in this connection, reports UNB.
