Largest Eid congregation at Sholakia

The largest Eid-ul Azha congregration of the country was held peacefully on Wednesday morning at Sholakia, Kishoreganj.

Eid prayers began at 9:00am with a huge number of devotees coming from different parts of the district to attend the 191th congregation there.

The congregation began following the traditional gunshot at 9:00am. Maulana Mufti Hifzur Rahman Khan conducted the prayers.

A special munajat was offered seeking divine blessings for peace, development and welfare of the people of the country as well as the Muslim Ummah.

As a security measure, the people were searched before entering the ground in four phases. They were only allowed to carry their prayer mats.

Members of police, RAB and other law enforcement agencies were deployed along with two drones for security.

Three special trains operated on the Bhairab-Kishoreganj and Kishoreganj-Mymensingh routes.

The number of people attending the Eid congregation at Sholakia is steadily increasing every year.
