Dhaka Eid in frames

Eid-ul-Azha, one of the largest religious festivals of the Muslims, is celebrated amid much festivity and religious fervour all over the capital on Wednesday.

The main thoroughfares of Dhaka city were decorated with the national flag and banners inscribed with 'Eid Mubarak' in Bangla and Arabic. Public buildings were illuminated on the occasion.

Jatiya Eidgah hosted the largest congregation of Eid-ul-Azha prayers in the morning while city corporation cleaners started clearing sacrificial animals' waste on Eid day.

Baitul Mukarram National Mosque hosts the second largest congregation of Dhaka on 22 August, 2018. A total of five congregations (Jamaat) have been held here this year.
