5 smugglers held with 11kg gold

A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained five suspected members of an international smuggling gang along with around 11 kilograms of gold from Gabtoli area in the capital on Tuesday night.

The identities of the arrestees could not be known yet, reports UNB.

Senior ASP of RAB - 2 Robiul Islam said being tipped off they detained the five smugglers while they were going to Jashore around 9:00pm.

The RAB members seized around 11 kg gold from their possession, he added.
