Water levels rise in 34 rivers

Water levels at 34 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise while 56 stations recorded fall.

Among the 94 monitored stations, three river stations have been registered steady, a bulletin issued by the FFWC said Saturday, reports BSS.

All the major rivers are flowing below their respective danger levels while the Brahmaputra-Jamuna rivers are in falling trend which may continue in the next 24 hours.

A total of 25 millimetres (mm) rainfall was recorded at Lorergarh in Sylhet and 18 mm at Jaflong.
