Tremor jolts Bangladesh

A mild earthquake was felt in Dhaka and other parts of the country around 10:53am on Wednesday.

The epicentre of the earthquake measuring 5.3 magnitude in Richter scale was 7 km away from Sapatgram village in India’s Assam.

The tremor in Dhaka lasted for a few seconds.

The meteorological office confirmed this to Prothom Alo.
