2 killed in Magura road crash

Two pedestrians were killed as a truck ran over them in Magura Sadar upazila on Sunday.
The deceased are Mohammad Zakaria,30, hailing from Ramnagar village and Samirul Islam, 19, hailing from Raja Rampur village.
Their bodies have been kept at the Magura Sadar Hospital.
Abdur Rashid, sub-inspector of Magura highway police, said a Jhinaidaha-bound truck ran over Zakaria and Samirul on Jhinaidaha-Magura highway. Later, the truck fell on the roadside.
Police and the witnesses said Zakaria died on the spot and Samirul died on way to the hospital.
Police said the truck has been seized but the driver managed to flee the scene.
