Bullet-hit body found along Thakurgaon border

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered bullet-hit body of a Bangladesh national from Ratnai border point in Baliadangi upazila of Thakurgaon district on Saturday night, reports UNB.

The deceased is Saidul Haque, 28, son of a certain Khatib Uddin of Baganbari Harinmari village of the upazila.

BGB members recovered the body from no-man's land near border pillar No 382 around 9:45 pm, said BGB-50 battalion acting commanding officer major Mohammad Jahangir Alam.

They also rescued an injured man, Manarul Haque, 25, son of Abdul Hakim of Jugihar village from the border point, he said.

It is still not clear how Saidul died, said the BGB official adding that they have sent a letter to Border Security Force of India demanding a flag meeting in this regard.
