Faridpur road crash kills 2

Two people killed and seven others were injured in a head-on collision between a local bus and a human-hauler on Dhaka-Khulna Highway in Sadar upazila on Saturday morning.

The deceased are Md Hasan Khan, 32, a resident of Saltha upazila in Faridpur and Liton Sheikh, 30, a resident of Moheshpur upazila in Jhenidah.

Kanaipur highway police camp sub-inspector Nizamul Islam said the accident took place when the Kamarkhali-bound bus collided with the human-hauler around 8:15am in front of Kanaipur Rural Electricity Society, leaving the two dead.

The injured were taken to Faridpur Medical College and Hospital.

Meanwhile, police arrested the bus driver.
