Minor girl ‘gang raped’

A minor girl was allegedly gang raped by a group of miscreants at Guakhola village of Abhaynagar upazila in Jashore on Tuesday, reports UNB.

Police detained Hasan Biswas, 22, son of Liakat Ali Biswas and Sagar Hossain, 18, son of Helal Hossain of Guakhola village in the upazila in connection with the incident.

Abhaynagar police station officer-in-charge Md Alamgir Hossain said some local miscreants took the girl luring her to visit nearby Puja celebration.

In the evening, they took the girl to an abandoned house and violated her.

Later, hearing the screams of the victim, locals rushed to the spot and managed to catch two of the rapists while others fled.

The duo was handed over to police, locals said.

Victim's mother filed a case accusing five people including Hasan and Sagar with Abhaynagar police station in this regard.
