Bangladeshi gunned down by ‘BSF’

A Bangladesh national was allegedly shot to death by members of India's Border Security Force (BSF) in Kantibhita border area in Baliadangi upazila of Thakurgaon early Saturday.

The deceased is Md Rabbani, son of a certain Pashiruddin Pashir of Taranjubari village, reports UNB.

Locals said that the BSF members of Hatkhola camp opened fire on a group of cattle traders, including Rabbani, when they went to border pillar no 385/5 around 4:00 am, leaving him dead.

BGB was investing the matter at the time, said lieutenant colonel Tuhin Md Masud, commanding officer of Thakurgaon BGB-50 battalion.
