Gold bars worth Tk 17.5m seized

Customs officials on Monday afternoon seized a total of 30 gold bars worth around Tk 17.5 million from an aircraft at Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Monday, reports UNB.

Director general of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) Shahidul Islam said the gold bars, weighing a combined 3.48 kilograms, were concealed under a seat of Emirates Airlines flight EK-586 that arrived here from Dubai around 5:10am.
