Madrasa student found dead

Police recovered the hanging body of a student from a madrasa at Ranibazar in Rajshahi on Wednesday, reports UNB.

The deceased is Talha Zubayer, 12, son of Afsar Ali of Bagha upazila.

Sirajul Islam, director of Ranibazar Hafezia Madrasah, said Talha took admission in the madrasah in June this year. Noticing that Talha remained absent in the Maghrib prayers, the authorities went to his room and found the body hanging from the ceiling.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to a local hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Nityan Das, officer-in-charge of Boalia police station, said the cause of the death was not immediately known.
