79 detained in Satkhira

Police in special drives arrested 79 people, who are accused in different cases, from eight upazilas of the district from Wednesday evening to Thursday morning.

Of them, 22 were arrested from sadar upazila, 11 from Kolaroa upazila, seven from Tala upazila, 10 each from Kaliganj, Debhata and Ashsashuni upazilas, four from Shyamnagar upazila and six from Patkelghata upazila, said Inspector Azam Khan of Special Branch of Satkhira police.

Besides, several cases were filed against them.
