44 BNP-Jamaat men sued over AL activist's killing

A case has been filed against 44 leaders and activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party and Jamaat-e-Islami in connection with the murder of a ruling Awami League activist during election in Kahalu upazila of Bogura on Sunday, reports UNB.

Zahidur Rahman, brother of victim Azizur Rahman, filed the case against three identified and 41 unidentified BNP-Jamaat men with Kahalu police station on Monday, said Shawkat Kabir, officer-in-charge of the police station.

On Sunday, AL activist Azizur Rahman, 30, was killed and five others were injured in a clash between AL and BNP activists at Bagil polling station in Kahalu upazila over capturing a polling station.
