New cabinet to meet first on 21 Jan

The maiden meeting of the new cabinet will be held at the prime minister's office at 10am on 21 January, reports UNB.

Cabinet secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam told UNB on Monday that the cabinet meeting is usually held on every Monday but it can be arranged any day if the prime minister wishes.

On 7 January, a 47-member cabinet, led by prime minister Sheikh Hasina, took oath following Awami League's massive victory in the 11th national election.

Apart from the prime minister, there are 24 ministers, 19 state ministers and three deputy ministers in the new cabinet.
