Bus-truck collision kills 2

Two people were killed and seven others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck in Satyopir Bridge area of Thakurgaon town on Wednesday morning.

One of the deceased has been identified as Aiyub Ali,40, son of Mobarak Ali, a resident of Begunpara area in Sadar upazila of Panchagarh district.

Officer-in-charge (investigation) of Sadar police station Abdul Mannan said a Panchagarh-bound bus of ‘Ahsan Enterprise’ from Comilla collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction in the area at about 9:30am, leaving Aiyub Ali, passenger of the bus, dead on the spot and eight people injured.

The injured were admitted to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital where another man succumbed to his injuries later.
