Another woman has been allegedly gang-raped in Noakhali's Kabirhat upazila.

The allegation appeared just days after a mother of four was gang-raped in Noakhali's Subarnachar allegedly by some 10 Awami League activists.

The victim of Kabirhat, 29, a mother of three children, on Saturday complained to police that she was gang-raped at gunpoint by three persons early Saturday.

Police arrested one suspect, Zaker Hossain, 28.

Kabirhat police station officer-in-change Mirza Md Hasan told Prothom Alo that the woman made a complaint alleging that Zaker and two others entered her house around 1:00am, held her and her children hostage at gunpoint and raped her.

The OC quoted the woman as saying that her husband is a prisoner, who is now serving terms at a jail in Noakhali.

The police officer added that she will be sent to Noakhali General Hospital for medical examinations.

Like her, a woman of Subarnachar upazila was gang-raped for voting for 'sheaf of paddy', the electoral symbol of main opposition BNP by ruling party men on 30 December night after voting.
