DUMCJAA new committee constituted

Dhaka University Mass Communication and Journalism Alumni Association (DUMCJAA) on Saturday formed a new executive committee with Swapan Kumar Das and associate professor Sabrina Sultana Chowdhury as president and general secretary respectively, reports UNB.

The 41-member committee was formed at its 9th annual general meeting at the alumni floor of Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of the university.

Other members are Nargis Begum Mini, Farida Yasmin, Kazi Moazzem Hossain and Mohammad Kamal Uddin Jasim as vice presidents; Mir Attaqui Masruzaman Roni, Mahmud Menon Khan, Ahmed Pipul, Sharmin Iffat Shams (Tuli), Jesmin Jahan Moon as joint secretaries; Tariqul Islam Khan Rabin as treasurer, Salahuddin Mahmud Chowdhury as organising secretary, Sujon Mahmud as publication secretary and Md Asaduzzaman Kajol as office secretary while Anwarul Azim as communication secretary.

DU former vice-chancellor professor AAMS Arefin Siddique, professor Sakhawat Ali Khan and for former chief information commissioner Golam Rahman, among others, were present at the programme.
