Schedule for DUCSU polls Monday

The Dhaka University (DU) authorities will announce the schedule of long overdue Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) polls Monday, reports BSS.
Chief returning officer for DUCSU election, SM Mahfuzur Rahman will officially announce the election schedule at 10:30am at Nawab Nabab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban, said a DU press release.
Other five returning officers will also be present there. The hall authorities will also announce the schedule of hall unions on that day.
The last DUCSU poll was held in 1990.
DUCSU election is scheduled to be held on 11 March.
The main opposition BNP's student body Jatiyabadi Chhatra Dal, some left leaning organisations and several other student bodies demanded setting up polling centres outside the residential halls to keep voting free from the influence of ruling Awami League's student wing Bangladesh Chhatra League.
DU authorities, however, did not comply with the demand.
