Gas supply to parts of the port city of Chattogram resumed in the morning, after remaining suspended for the last three days, reports UNB.

A gas pipeline was damaged at Akmal Ali Road in Halishahar during a canal's dredging, forcing the authorities to halt supply to some parts of the city from Saturday evening.

The supply resumed from Monday midnight after the pipeline was repaired, said Khaer Ahmed Majumdar, managing director of Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Limited.

Gas supply has been normal in the city from Tuesday morning, he said.
