BCL activist stabbed dead

An activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League(BCL) was stabbed to death by rivals in Boran Munshi Para in Tongi, Gazipur on Friday night over a cricket match, reports UNB.

The deceased is Prince Mahmud Nahid, 26, son of Jahirul Islam, a resident of Dutta Para area.

Shuvo Mandal, sub-inspector of Tongi East Thana, said that some rivals attacked Nahid around 8:30pm and stabbed him indiscriminately following enmity over a cricket match, leaving him critically injured.

Later, the injured died on the way to Dhaka.

Police recovered the body.
