DUCSU VP-elect Nurul expresses solidarity with Ruqayyah Hall protesters

DUCSU VP Nurul HuqVP-elect of DUCSU Nurul Haq expressed solidarity with the students of Ruqayyah Hall who went on hunger strike on Wednesday night, demanding fresh polls to the hall union and withdrawal of the hall provost, reports UNB.

Nurul went to the hall gate around 1:30pm to express his solidarity.

Talking to reporters at the hall gate, Nurul said that the students' demand is logical as the irregularities in the election are proved. "Now the administration should arrange a fresh election fulfilling the demand of the students."

The Ruqayyah Hall provost should step down over the irregularities in the hall union election, he said adding, "I'm always with the students."
