A Biman Bangladesh Airlines aircraft made an emergency landing at Shah Amanat International Airport in the port city on Tuesday following a technical glitch.

The Kolkata-bound flight of the national flag carrier took off from the airport at 12:30pm.

It came back and landed at the airport around 12:50pm as soon as it received 'technical glitch signal', said wing commander Sarwar-e-Zahan, manager of Shah Amanat International Airport.

However, the 191 Dash-8 Biman flight will fly for Kolkata in the evening, he added.

Earlier on 29 March, a Saidpur-bound flight of the national flag carrier made an 'emergency landing' at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport following a technical glitch.
