Mahmudul Hasan is a 17-year-old Bangladeshi boy from Magura. His name now appears in the Guinness Book of World Records, not once, but twice.

Mahmudul Hasan received this recognition this month for his freestyle basketball arm rolling.

Mahmud informed the local media of the honour after receiving an official letter from the Guinness Book authorities.

Notably Mahmudul entered the Guinness World Records earlier in August 2018 for freestyle football arm rolling.

Mahmudul is studying mechatronics technology at Magura Poly Technique Institute. His father’s name is Sohel Rana, a retired army official and mother is Monjuara  Khanam, a housewife.

Mahmud wanted to do something different since his childhood. In 2018, he scored the first Guinness record by football arm rolling for 134 times in a minute. He scored 144 times basketball arm rolling in a minute and achieved the record again.

He said, it was not hard to secure the record a second time.

“I had to practice for 16 hours a day for four months before the first record,” he added.

Mahmudul intends to score more records soon to represent Bangladesh on a global platform.
