At least two persons have been killed in explosions during a raid of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a house of Bosila in the capital's Mohammadpur, suspecting it to be a militant den, say RAB officials.

According to the elite force, a bomb defusing unit and a dog squad entered the tin-shed house around 10:00am on Monday.

Mufti Mahmud Khan, director of Rapid Action Battalion’s (RAB) media wing, told newsmen on the spot, "Two to three militants might have been killed inside the house. There is possibility of more unexploded IEDs (improvised explosive device) there."

The RAB official also said, sounds of gunshots were heard from the house.

RAB men cordoned off the house around 3:30am early Monday.
