Fire breaks out at CMC hospital

A fire broke out at Chittagong Medical College Hospital on Tuesday morning, reports UNB.

Jasim Uddin, deputy assistant director of Fire Service, said that the fire broke out at ward number 16 around 10:45am.

Ten vehicles of four firefighting units are trying to extinguish the fire.

"The fire is under control now," Jasim said, adding that there has not been any report of casualties.

Physician Md Akhterul Islam, deputy director of the hospital, said that the fire broke out from an air conditioner.
