Schoolgirl found dead in hotel

Police recovered the body of a schoolgirl from a hotel in Shibchar municipality of Madaripur on Sunday night, reports UNB.

The deceased was Inni Akhter, 14, daughter of late Elius Ali and a Class IX student of Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Girls High School.

Jakir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Shibchar police station, said on information, they recovered the body from a room of the hotel 'Utsab Chinese Restaurant' at night.

After analysing a CCTV footage, they arrested one Rubel Khan from Kathalbarighat.

Police suspected that the girl was strangulated to death after rape.
