Two ‘JMB men’ held in Rangpur

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in separate drives on Saturday arrested two suspected members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Rangpur city and Gangachhara upazila, reports UNB.

Tipped off, a team of RAB-13 conducted a drive at Haragachh in the city and arrested Rafiqul Islam, 58, son of Abdur Rahman, at night, said Khandaker Golam Mortuza, media officer of the RAB battalion.

In another drive, the elite force arrested Nurul Islam, 27, son of Sekendar Ali along with leaflets and some jihadi books from Talpatti in Gangachhara upazila.

They were involved in collecting members and fund for the militant outfit, RAB claimed.
