Mother, son found dead in Natore

A woman and her son were found dead in Naldanga upazila of Natore on Wednesday morning, reports UNB.

The deceased are Halima Akter, 25, wife of certain Mahamul Islam Munna and their two-year-old son Abdullah. Munna works at a garment factory in Dhaka.

Locals found the door locked from outside in the morning and saw Halima's body lying in the house in Bashila Uttarpara.

"Halima was strangled," said Shafiqur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Naldanga Police Station. Abdullah's body was recovered from a pool near the house.

Police said they suspect that miscreants murdered the duo at night.

The motive behind the killing could not be known immediately.
