Lightning kills two in Naogaon

Two workers were killed after being struck by lightning in Naogaon’s Porsha upazila on Friday afternoon, reports UNB.

The deceased are Hasan Ali, 30, son of Motiur Rahman of Ganair village of the upazila; and Shafinur Islam, 28, son of Azad Hossain from Bitlitola village of Chapainawabganj's Shibganj upazila.

Hasan and Shafinur were working in a paddy field. They were killed on the spot around 5:30pm, said Shahinur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Porsha police station.

Another worker was injured in the lightning strike. He is being treated at Porsha Upazila Health Complex.
