'Drug trader', 'drug addict' found dead

Map of PabnaPolice recovered bodies of a suspected drug trader and a 'drug addict' youth from separate places in Ishwardi, Pabna on Saturday morning, reports UNB.

Locals spotted the bullet-hit body of Altaf Mandal, 55, son of late Abed Ali Mandal, accused in 12 drug cases, in an under construction building at Chara Bottola Gokulnagar Mahalla in the morning and informed police, UNB quoted Ishwardi police station officer-in-charge Bahauddin Faruki as saying.

Later, police recovered the body.

Police said he might have been killed by the rival group over drug related dispute.

Meanwhile, police recovered the body of Shakib Hossain, 20, son of Alamgir Hossain, from village Chaknaricha Bagbaria in the morning.

The OC said Shakib, who used to live at his grandfather's (maternal) house with his mother, remained missing since Friday evening.

Locals spotted his body near a pond in the morning and informed police.

Later, police recovered the body.

He might have been strangulated to death, the OC said adding that Shakib was drug addict.
