US embassy to remain closed 2, 5, 6 June

The US embassy in Dhaka, including its consular section, will remain closed on Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday (2, 5 and 6 June) on the occasion of Shab-e-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr respectively.

The American Center with the Archer K Blood American Center Library and the Education USA Student Advising Center will also remain closed. Shab-e-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr are Bangladesh's national holidays.

However, emergency services for American citizens will be available, said a press release on Thursday.
