4 killed in Dhamrai road crash

At least four people were killed and four others were injured in a collision between a pickup van and a bus in Kalampur area in Dhamrai on Monday evening, reports UNB.
Two of the deceased were Mehedi Hasan, 28, of Magura and Nazrul Islam, 27, of Rajbari.
The accident took place on Dhaka-Aricha Highway when a passenger bus collided head-on with the pickup van, said Dipak Chandra Shaha, officer-in-charge of Dhamrai Police Station.
The accident killed four passengers of the pickup van on the spot and left four others injured. Two of the dead remain unidentified.
On information, police seized the pickup van and recovered the bodies, the OC added.
