Teenage girl found hanging from tree

A teenage girl was found hanging from a tree at Jotgopal in Rajshahi's Godagari upazila on Monday, reports UNB.

The deceased was Salma, 17, daughter of Ashraful Islam of the area.

Hasmat Ali, officer-in-charge of Godagari police station, said locals found the girl hanging from a tree near her house around 8:30pm. Later, police went there, recovered her body and sent it to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
