3 children drown in Feni river

Three children drowned in Feni river along India-Bangladesh border at Bagan Bazar in Fatikchhari upazila of Chattogram on Thursday, reports UNB.

The deceased were Touhidul Alam, 7, Zubaier Hossain, 14 and Azharul Islam Mukul, 12.

JashimUddin, deputy assistant director of Chattogram Fire Service, said all the boys went to the river for taking bath around 12:30pm and went missing.

On information, divers from local fire service conducted a salvage operation and recovered the bodies of the three children around 5:30pm.
